Wallasey Beach

We looked up Wallasey on line and it said that - Historically part of cheshire until 1974 , the area was sparsely populated before the 19th century. When I went last weekend it was full of people, very busy! It is a very nice place. We sat on the beach in the sand and had a drink at morrisons and a look around the town. We also found another lovely little café and had a lovely meal - ham and chips then sat on a wall by the amusement arcade. By Derek Powell.

Big Chinese takeaway! by Emma

Last night we had a big Chinese takeaway from Delamere Fortune Palace in Norley. I earned it after swimming in Marbury Mere! I had sweet and sour beef and egg  fried  rice and it was gorgeous! My mum had chicken and my family all had nice dishes too and we also had ribs and they were sticky and lovely. I would recommend getting a takeaway there - I give it it ten out of 10, by Emma Calvert

Our Favourite Things

My favourite thing to do is to go to the pictures and last Saturday we went to Crewe and saw The Lorax. It had lots of little animals, bears and rabbits and all sorts of people too. My favourite things are aeroplanes, I know lots about planes and I like watching them take off. I like A380 plane - the best thing about it is that it is a good airplane and I like it when it lands and it's really big. By Jason Cross.

60s night!

Last Friday we had our annual fancy dress disco, and the theme was the 1960s. The venue was the Gladstone club abd the fun started at 7.30.
Staff wore their 60s fashion and so did most of the party goers. Hazel Clarke and Charlie Royle won prizes for best outfits, and Paul Gibson, Paul Cooper, Tracy Radcliffe, Rosie Kelsey and Amy Bamford all won prizes for dancing.
Christina Casson and Tim Wright won a prize for being the best couple on the dance floor. A special prize for best young dancer went to Katy Craven who really enjoyed herself.
We'd all like to thank DJs Tim and Callum who stood in at the last minute to save the whole evening. Ane well done to all for raising £160 for the comforts funds for our day centres.

Jean's Olympic Post

I’ve been watching the Olympics on tv on  Friday for the opening ceremony. I liked the dancing nurses and doctors with the children in beds, and the fireworks. I liked the torches when they looked like a flower, then closed up. Paul McCartney was good too. It was a late night by the time all the flags had been carried past but I enjoyed it. I have been watching the swimmimg this week as it has been good, and the diving and the gymnastics too . And when they swing round the uneven bars I like it, and the football too. By Jean Clarke
