Firdale Gardeners

Today it was pouring down at first, and it was really cold so we decided to stay in and look at our photos of the garden over the year. We found some nice photos to put in the newsletter.  We've done some really good work - we grew lots of tomatoes and courgettes with help from Mary our tutor. It wasn't sunny enough this year for our tomoatoes to turn red but Poppy's Pantry made some lovely chutney from them. We've been planning what we want to grow next year - Vera says spring onions, and cauliflowers (to go with cheese sauce!). Annie says potatoes, Dean says carrots. We did try carrots this year but they got eaten by the dreaded carrot fly. Sue says she wants to grow more sweet peas, and Derek wants to grow more sunflowers. So watch this space next year!

i did   the cakes and   we  went to moss farm  for cakes  and I helped mum with a cup  of  tea. We did chatter box 5. I am helping  mum  today and going to have a  verey  good  time  -  we are going to  manchester  dancing  we will do carol   singing and  diseo.  i like the come dancing  and helping  my   mum   we will cook mark some cakes  mum is a  nice mum we   will  party  on     we did the  boxs   verey  goodd  thank you   dinner     thats  good .

Saxon by Johnathan Oswell

My favourite band is Saxon. They are an English heavy metal group formed in South Yorkshire in 1976. They have had 8 UK Top 40 albums, including 4 UK Top Ten albums. My favourite member of the band is the lead singer, Biff Byford who was in Blue Condition before forming Saxon. Their best song is 747, which featured on their greatest hits album in 1990. My favourite album is Unleash the Beast which was released in 1997. They are playing in Manchester on the 23rd of April next year.

Jean's Birthday

Last Wednesday was my birthday! I got some leggings, a newhandbag and a make-up bag from my sister. Hazel and I went to Riverside for a meal. I had chicken and a glass of white wine. Then we had some birthday cake for pudding.

Myweekend

Last weekend, I went to a fete at Hartford College. I bought some gifts for my family. I had a lot of goes on the tombola and some chocolates and shampoo.I also went to Northwich and did some shopping. In Iceland, I bought some sausage rolls and other things for the freezer.
