Middlewich Tree of Light

The first Middlewich tree of light ceremony took place at the old cemetery and is to become an annual event. More than 100 people attended the ceremony last Tuesday and cheered as the lights were switched on to reflect on the lives that have passed away

New Waitrose

The Waitrose supermarket opened on the 21st November in Northwich. It is situated on the river. Waitrose was opened by the local MP Graham Evans and children from Winnington Park Community Primary School and Victoria Road Primary School.

The first customer at Waitrose received a bouquet of flowers. I am going there this afternoon to see what it is like - Derek

Jonathon`s favourite band

Axel Rose is a singer in a band  called Guns and Roses.  They are my favourite band, I have got their cd.  I like all of their songs.  One of  my favourite songs is sweet  child of  mine. I would love to see them in concert.  I  would also love to meet them in real life.  If I did I would ask them if I could have their autograph. 

Emmas medals

I won these medals in Jersey with the Jersey Sports association Jersey for the disabled. Sean and me and 3 others won the bowling competition and we got a great trophy, and had a great time. Now we are home we are going to a big party at the Park Royle with 150 people. By Emma C

Jason - "My favourite band is westlife, they are very good to listen to, I also love listening to Robson and Jerome and Take That.

Jon - "I really love Bruce Dickinson, so Iron Maiden are my favourite band. I love listening to Motorhead, Rainbow, Alice Cooper and KISS aswell, Love Gun is my favourite song"

Jean - "Rod Stewart is my favoureite singer, also Frank Sinatra because I have all of his albums. Tina Turner and Kylie Minogue are good too"

Happy Birthday Jean!

Tomorrow it is Jean Clarkes birthday, and she is having a birthday party on Thursday in Weaverham.

She is very excited for her birthday surprises, but loves being bought vouchers to spend on new clothes. Jeans favourite things to buy is tops, trousers and new jacket.

Drumming at Great Woodward

On Wednesday night Dave Hiett pick up half pass 5 for tea out and takes me to band practices at barnton silver band playing drums with Dave Hiett.

Halloween Ball 0n 1st November

I would like to say what a great time I had at the Halloween Ball with Chalene, Jackie and Maureen who kept me on my feet dancing all night. I requested the Beatles with DJ Grinch because they are my favourite music band. It made me happy that my dad got the chance to speak to jackie and chalene ...Kevin H

HALLOWEEN PARTY

I enjoyed tha Halloween party with my friends from Old fire station, Firdale and Meadowbank Lodge. My favourite costume was Sue Jones who came as a ghost. I won a raffle prize which I was really pleased with I won some bubble bath. There were lots of people there and it was very busy. I thought the DJ looked really funny he wore the Grinch mask, which was a xmas mask, but it made me happy. I am looking forward to our next party hopefully for xmas.....Lisa O

Great tackle by Reds Jackie, great shot by Greens Paul but Becky saves for the Reds. Greens David makes a great save and then Greens Paul saves another! Jackie scores for the Reds, Paul got a near miss for the greens. Lizzie did a great tackle for the Reds, then John G got a near miss for the Greens. Then another good goal by Jackie for the Reds for a draw. Great save by Emma for the Reds, then Lizzie scored for the reds who are catching up. Then Greens catch up and score. Followed by a great pass by Sarah for Reds. Then Becky scores for the Reds, and another near miss for Becky but a great save by David for the Greens. Lizzie scores for the Reds, can the Greens come back? Greens Gary scores twice!
Reds swapped keepers – now Lizzie is in goal. Who will get the winning goal? Reds win!
Player of the match was Becky for the Reds - well done!

David K scored for the Blues in the last minute. Man of the match was the Blues keeper who was Kevin Moss.

David Kelsey was playing great for the Blues. Great save by Kevin Moss for the Blues, then a great pass by Becky for the Reds. Near miss by Sarah for the Reds, then a great tackle by Susy for the Reds. Reds score twice! Good pass by David K for the Blues then Blues score! Jackie scores for the Reds! Good save again by Kevin Moss for the Blues. Great ball by Becky for the Reds. Nice shot by Justin for the Blues. Good Save by Lizzie for the Reds. Good goal by Susy for the Reds. Then Blue score!  David nearly scored.

Jonathon & Jason - Halloween

Halloween  is on the 31^st of October. We like Halloween because it’s spooky. This year Johnny is dressing up as Gene  Simmons  and Jason doesn’t  want to dress up . We  are  both going to go to the Halloween  ball  at  the  Gladstone   Club on  the 1^st  November . Johnny   hopes that  he gets trick or treaters this year. Johnny used to  go trick or treating with his brother when  he was younger. Johnny is going to buy a pumpkin  and carve it so it has a scary face. Jason prefers Bonfire night and watching all of the fireworks in the sky. Jason  will be talking about Bonfire night next week.  

Emma's swimming news

Emma has been very busy whilst away from Firdale - she won these medals in the Special Olympics Nationals in Bath. She then went to Loch Lomond for a few days break in a top hotel. After that it was Spain with the Penguins for a holiday. Then on Sunday she won some more medals at Blyth in Northumberland. Emma says she had a lovely time!
